Spiderlake Lodge

After dropping Abby off at camp in northern Wisconsin, Brian and I spent a couple of nights at Spiderlake Lodge near Hayward, WI. It is so beautiful, rustic and quiet! Seriously - if you are looking for a relaxing get-away, please be sure to check this lodge out! Jim, Craig and Roz will take terrific care of you and there are many fun day trips in the area if you want to do some exploring. We stayed last year as well but definitely spent more time just reading and relaxing this year. Here are a few pictures - but they don't really convey the beauty and character of the lodge.

Rest and Relaxation!

Been out of town for a few days - time with friends at the lake, bringing Abby to camp and then a few days of R&R for just Brian and me in Northern Wisconsin. Didn't pick up my camera very much - which was kind of a nice break. This is a picture I took about a week ago - such cute, fun girls! I'll try to get one from Spiderlake Lodge up for tomorrow!

Meg at Sunset

The sunset was beautiful this past weekend - so we went out to the dock to enjoy it!

LadySlippers

Some of my fellow POTDers on Two Peas are fantastic at taking shots of flowers - especially macro shots. I wish they had been at the lake this weekend to shoot these beautiful Lady Slippers. They looked so delicate and colorful!

Abby

A few of my favorites of Abby from this past weekend. I love the colors of summer (all the green) but there is something about black and white that is so classic. It was fun to do these pictures with her.....she couldn't wait to download the card and see what they looked like!

Weekend Fun

We had a terrific weekend at my parent's lake home. Here's a picture I took of Abby - I hope to get through more of the pictures tomorrow! She turns 13 next weekend, so I really wanted to get a few of her alone this week.

My Girls

Sometimes getting these three to take a serious, nice picture is next to impossible. The first one is one of the best of them all together that I've been able to capture in a long time. At the same time, there is something about the last two that really shows their personalities and their relationship. I'm thinking they might be a great series put together.....

Something New

I had a chance to babysit this little cutie a couple of nights ago. It was so fun to take pictures of a baby! Most of my friends have older kids, so this was quite a change for me! Too fun!

Sprinkler Fun!

It was finally in the 80s here today! Yippee!! We bought this fun sprinkler, but Meg was the only one that got to enjoy it. Abby was doing other things, and Kate had the flu (yuck!). Jet enjoyed relaxing in the yard too!
