Kate is 7!! She had a terrific birthday with treats at school and gymnastics and then cake and presents with family. The next day a couple friends came over to play and then their families joined us for dinner. She LOVES her new pink guitar (and I, of course, am going to love it for pictures). Happy Birthday Kate!! We love you so much!

Labor Day

I hope to get back on track with this daily blog now that school is in session and we have a little more of a routine in our lives! We spent Labor Day weekend at the lake and had a TERRIFIC time. The weather was beautiful! It was amazing, however, how in the course of 3 days you could start to see the trees changing and fall approaching. I was very sad leaving on Monday. I love sitting at the lake, reading and soaking up the sun! Oh how I miss the warmth of the sun during our long winters! Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite memories from the weekend.

First Day of School

I can't believe that we are already back to school! The girls seem really happy with their classes and teachers. We're getting back into our before and after school schedules. And summer is already seeming like a distant memory! Looking forward to one last long weekend at the lake for Labor Day!

A New Look

Abby starts 8th grade next week - and will go back to school with a whole new look. New haircut and new braces. Doesn't she look like a teenager now?
