We are in full swing again with a new gymnastics season. All three girls are in gymnastics, but only Abby and Meg are at levels where they compete. Abby had a meet last week in Minneapolis. She is competing at a new level (Level 9) this year so we aren't really sure what to expect. But she did well and had some mini personal victories on every event. The weekend was a lot of fun as we were able to watch a University of Minnesota gymnastics meet. One of Abby's former teammates is on the team. It was so exciting for her to see a teammate competing at that level. I think she realized how all the hard work can pay off.
Gymnastics is a big part of our life. The travel gets tiring (and the meets are stressful for me!), but it definitely helps the winter go by quickly!

Very cool shots. You did an awesome job with the conditions! Good luck this season!

The third one is fantastic! And I hear you on the traveling, my daughter plays select soccer. Oy.
I think the angled shots really work here. Very cool!
Gym shots are so hard and these are awesome..Wonderful work
Great photos. TFS!
you did great. Love the second to the last shot
I really like the angle of the last photo.
When I was a teen I used to babysit for a girl that competed in gymnastics. They eventually moved so she could train with Bela Karolyi. She ended up with shin splints right before the (88 I believe) Olympics and didn't make the cut.
Awesome shots, I just love gymnastics! My youngest dd just started a new class (we moved a couple of weeks ago) and she's really enjoying it. :)
I noticed a couple of things on your profile that we have in common...I just love the Thomas Crown Affair movie and the Wicked soundtrack!
Hey Deb, I'm really glad to see you on POTD again! I also like your angled shots. . . it seems to enhance the whole idea of "action" in these shots, and I like that you carried it through consistently across the photos. . .
Sounds like you had a wonderful time in MPS and Abby is looking great!
Glad to see you back, so we can enjoy the girls' gymnastics. I am always in awe of the indoor work you do. That action shot of the leap is wonderful.
I love the jumping shot, and you have some very good lighting in all of these.
good luck for the rest of the season
Wow! Sounds like you'll be busy! Love the vibrant colors in these shots. Such intensity on her face, too! :)
These look so good. Great job.
Wow, these pictures are beautiful!!!
Wow...great indoor shots!
ahhhh competition season.. my DD competes level 5 this year. She also changed gyms so this season is a little stressful all around. I hate meets, they are much too stressful for me, I think I am going to become like Nastias Mum and wait outside until the competition is over. LOL
Great shots, I love the shot of her split leap! Keep us updated I always look for your posts to see how your girls did!
I always enjoy your gymnastic shots and admire how well you do in indoor gym lighting!
