I'm cheating today and using photos from last summer. It's too cold to take photos outdoors today and I didn't get home while there was any light! These photos were taken last summer. Both were shot in Av mode with ISO of 200 and f/2.0. The close-up had a ss of 1/2000 sec and the other was 1/500 sec. I used Bella's Creamy Black and White for both of them and further adjusted contrast and brightness. Last summer I loved the close-up shot. Today it bothers me more that her back eye isn't in focus. Any thoughts?

I cheated a few days ago because I was lazy...it's ok to cheat!!! Anyway these are beautiful! Great work.

Il ike the store front/reflection shot, especially in bnw.
The second is pretty, but yes, the shallow dof throws me off a little, too.
Isn't it funny the way we look at photos totally changes as we grow and develop our skills?
she's gorgeous..i really like the conversions..i love her reflection in the first picture..very cool!
I love the B&W and the reflection of that first one. I likely would not have noticed her eye being out of focus.
nice black and white.great capture of the reflection
The conversion really lifts these photos, especially the first one.
I really do love the b/w here. They seem to have a hint of brown on them too, which I really love.
love that 2nd one and she's beautifuL!
tara
the first one is great - love the reflection and your conv look good to me
love the reflection in the first one... very nice conversion, too!
The eye thing doesn't throw me at all because of the DOF in that whole side of the photo. She is beautiful!
Love the conversions on these. I personally am not bothered by the shallow DOF on the second photo, but ask me again in a couple of months and I could change my mind too!
Oh, and FWIW, I cheated today too. Winter weather is really putting a crinkly in my photo taking abilities. I'm tired of snapshots.
I love the 2nd one! The b/w is great as well as the reflection :)
Love the reflection!
I like the b/w reflection conv
Really like the first photo in color, the reflection is neat!
